They will answer: “Limitless art Thou in Thy glory! Thou [alone] art close unto us, not they! Nay, [when they thought that they were worshipping us,] they were but [blindly] worshipping forces concealed from their senses; most of them believed in them.&rdquo
They will say, "Glory to Thee! our (tie) is with Thee - as Protector - not with them. Nay, but they worshipped the Jinns: most of them believed in them."
They would say: Glory be to Thee! Thou art our Protector and not they. Nay! They had been worshiping the jinn. Most of them were ones who believe in them.
They will say, “Glory be to You! Our loyalty is to You, not them. In fact, they ˹only˺ followed the ˹temptations of evil˺ jinn, in whom most of them had faith.”
They will say, "May You be exalted in Your glory. You are our protector, not them. Rather, they [the unbelievers] used to worship the jinn; most of them believed in them."
They (angels) will say: “Glory be to You! You are our Lord instead of them. Nay, but they used to worship the jinns; most of them were believers in them.”
They will say: hallowed be Thou! Thou art our protecting friend, not they; Aye! they have been worshipping the jinn; In them most of them were believers
They will answer: "All-Glorified You are (in that You are absolutely above having partners). You alone are our Guardian (Whom We worship,) having no such relation with them." Rather, they were worshipping jinn; most of them believed in them (jinn as beings deserving worship)."
They will say, All Extolment be to You! You are our Ever-Patronizing Patron, apart from them. No indeed, (but) they were worshiping the jinn; most of them were believers in them
They will answer, "Glory is Yours! You are our Master, not them. Nay, they used to worship the invisible guises of their selfish desire. Most of them were believers therein." (Jinns = Hidden from sight. Generally this term in the Qur'an applies to nomads rarely appearing in townships. It is also used to describe rebellious desire, emotions and fiery temperament like Satan (6:101), (18:50), (37:158), (55:15)
They (the angels) will say: "Glory to You! — You are (our) Protector (Wali), not them. No! But they worshipped the jinns': Most of them (even) believed in them (jinns')."
They will say, "Exalted are You! You, [O Allah ], are our benefactor not them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them."
They will respond: "Glory be to You! Our tie is with You - as a protector - not with them; but they used to worship the Jinns and it was them in whom most of these people believed."

They will say, "Exalted are You! You are our Patron and not they." In fact, they used to worship the jinn (i.e. the devil and not Us). Most of them believed (and followed) the jinn

They will reply: "Glory to You! You are our Protector, not they. Nay, they rather used to worship the jinn. Most of them believe in them."

They say: Glory to You (You are flawless), You are our protector, not them, no but they used to serve the Jinn, and most of them were believers in them
The angels will reply: “Glory is with you; You are our Master not them. [Although apparently they were worshipping us,] In reality they were worshipping the Jinns [led by Satan, who seduced them and misled them in worshipping others beside God] whom they took as their Lord

They will answer, "Be You glorified. You are our Lord and Master, not them. Instead, they were worshiping the jinns; most of them were believers therein."

They shall submit, 'Sanctified are you, You are our friend, not they, Nay, they used to worship the Jinn, most of them had believed in them.
They will say, `Holy is Your name. It is You Who are our Protector against them, not they. It was not us but the jinns that they worshipped. It was in them that most of them believed (and not in Us)
They will submit: ‘Glory be to You! You alone are our Protector, not they! In fact, they used to worship the jinn. It was in them that most of them believed.
They (angels) will say: "Glorified be You! You are our Walee (Lord) instead of them. Nay, but they used to worship the jinns; most of them were believers in them."
They will answer: 'Limitless are You in Your glory! You alone are our patron, not they. In fact they worshipped the jinn and most of them believed in them.'
(The angels) will say, “Subhan, You are. It is You who is our guardian not them... On the contrary they used to worship the jinni, most of them had believed in them (as their gods).”

They (the angels) will say: Glory be to You. You are our Guardian, not they, nay rather, they were worshipping the jinn, (while) most of them were believers in them .
Al-muntakhab fi tafsir al-Qur'an al-Karim
"Glory be to You O Allah", they shall say, "and extolled are Your glorious attributes. You are our tutelary Guardian, but it was the Jinn they worshipped and regarded as truthful and had faith in their rights and their powers"
